Seminar "Selected Topics in Communications Engineering" in Rurberg
This year’s topic of the seminar "Machine Learning for Audiovisual Processing" provided a focus on a current field of research in the area of digital signal processing. In the seminar, which was organized by IENT and IKS, the students introduced the state-of-the-art in this field with technical presentations to each other.
In the summer term these presentations take place during a two-day trip to the Youth Hostel in Simmerath-Rurberg. The setting on one hand allows for concentrated working sessions and on the other hand provides the possibility to get in touch with other students, tutors and the two professors in the evening.
The final item on the agenda was a boat trip on the Rursee with succeeding hiking tour along the riverside, which provided fresh air and a relaxed end of the seminar.
