Compact Course of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vay for Development Engineers

From June 29th to 30th 2017 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vary presented a compact course for development engineers in the area of signal processing and communication technology at Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. The course comprises the theoretical basics of digital modulation and spreading.

In this course, the various modulation methods are discussed using the uniform concept of complex envelopes. The digital modulation/demodulation is realized mainly in terms of signal processing techniques. Due to the seamless transition from theory to practical realization (using DSP software or FPGA), this course is focused on signal processing. Applications such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, WLAN or DVB are covered, too.
