Banquet at the "Altes Kurhaus" Aachen
In the evening, the banquet of the ITG Conference on Speech Communication 2023 will take place at the historic ballroom of the Altes Kurhaus in Aachen. Different Guided City Tours
In the early afternoon of September 21st, various guided tours will be offered in the vicinity of Aachen. You can choose from the listed tours below when registering. Spaces for each tour are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. All tours are conducted in German language. Only for the Old Town Tour, a group is offered in English language. Please note that, in some instances, your chosen tour may be subject to change in order to ensure optimal group efficiency.
Old Town Tour
Aachen's historic old town invites you to stroll. Let yourself be guided through narrow alleys and historic squares, and discover 2000 years of Aachen's history. Cathedral Tour
Located centrally in the middle of the old town, Aachen Cathedral is one of Aachen's top attractions. Its architecture and furnishings still emphasize the importance and grandeur of the building, which was built at the end of the 8th century on the order of Charlemagne. Cathedral Treasury Tour
The Aachen Cathedral Treasury houses the most significant and extensive church treasure north of the Alps. Along with the Cathedral, the Cathedral Treasury was also included on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1978, making it the first German site to receive this recognition.
