Visit of the Carl-Reuther-Berufskolleg
Pupils of the Carl-Reuther-Berufskolleg from Hennef visited the Institute to gather first impressions on "speech and audio signal processing".
Taster Studies for High-School Graduates
As part of the Taster Studies for high-school graduates, the Institute has invited to a quizz around the topic of "speech and audio signal processing".
The scientists of the Institute attended the Inter-Noise, the EUSIPCO, and the ITG Conference on Speech Communication. They presented different contributions in "Active Noise Control" and "Near-end Listening Enhancement" (NELE) to a wide audience of specialists.

Today, M.Sc. Stefan Kühl is awarded the Springorum-Denkmünze for his outstanding Master of Science.

During the "Schüleruni 2016" pupils from grades 10 to 13 experienced the everyday life in our institute.
This year we dedicated the Best Student Thesis Awards to Carlotta Anemüller and Stefan Kühl for their excellent bachelor and master thesis, respectively.
Scientific Colloquium | Summer Term 2016
On the last Friday of the semester, the Institute organized traditionally the colloquium Communication Technology.
This year's institute trip on 20.06.2016 took place in the Eifel region, where staff and students cycled along a disused railway from Leykaul to Sourbrodt on railbikes.
This year from March 7th to 9th the annual strategy seminar of the IKS was held in the Eifel which was structured in two main blocks.
