Student Visit
On February 4, 2026, students from the Friedrich-Spee-Gymnasium in Geldern visited the IKS.
Dr. Antweiler first provided an overview of the study opportunities at RWTH Aachen University and the wide range of prospects offered by technical degree programs. This was followed by a trial lecture titled “Language in Bits and Bytes”, giving the students an initial glimpse into teaching at RWTH. Using various experiments on the computer, the students were able to apply their newly acquired knowledge of speech signal processing and gain hands-on impressions. A special highlight was the visit to the IKS|Lab, which immersed the students in the midst of the Aachen Symphony Orchestra and vividly conveyed the results of current research.
