Measurements at Aachen Railway Station
Members of the institute measured the noise field at the platform of Aachen central railway station when trains are arriving, departing, waiting, and passing through.
With these results, the potential of near-end listening enhancement in this environment will be evaluated and the enhancement algorithms will be refined.
It is the aim of these efforts to improve the intelligibility of the loudspeaker announcements resp. keep their intelligibility despite the railway service.
