Maximilian Kentgens represented the IKS at the 47th Annual Conference on Acoustics, which took place from 15 to 18 August 2021 in the Austrian capital Vienna. The MP3 inventor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. rer. nat. h.c. mult. Karlheinz Brandenburg was awarded the Helmholtz Medal for his life's work.

Invited by Dr.-Ing. Jens Ahrens and Ass.Prof. DI Dr. rer. nat. Franz Zotter, Maximilian Kentgens presented his work on "Comparison of Methods for Plausible Sound Field Translation" and engaged in a lively exchange with colleagues. For many colleagues, DAGA 2021 was the first conference to be held in presence since the beginning of the pandemic.
