Content

The lab “MATLAB Advanced – Digital Signal Processing” offers a profound insight into MATLAB programming techniques and expands the knowledge gained in the LEGO-Mindstorms course of the first Bachelor semester. The goal is to enhance the knowledge in the programming language and the practical experiences with the programming environment. Most examples are related to tasks of digital signal processing.

MATLAB is a tool which is widely spread in various engineering disciplines. This wide usage results mainly from the efficient execution of numerical methods of linear algebra and the fast calculation of matrix based operations. The numerous graphical plotting possibilities in combination with various available toolboxes, which extend the basic functionality, accelerate the development of programs and algorithms in MATLAB. In this lab we focus on the “Signal Processing Toolbox” for the majority of problems.

Reliable knowledge in signals and systems (Fourier-/z-Transformation, digital filters) should be available.
