ETOS | Institute Tour
University or University of Applied Sciences? Since 2019, FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen have jointly offered the seven-semester bachelor’s program Electrical Engineering with Orientation Semester (ETOS).
The initial orientation semester provides insights into electrical engineering studies at both institutions and helps students to make an informed decision about the type of university and a possible specialization.
As part of the introductory week, the IKS welcomed the students to an institute tour. After an introduction by Dr. Christiane Antweiler, the research staff presented several demonstrations that offered exciting insights into innovative audio technologies. With topics such as “Making Phone Calls in a Bar,” “Glasses for the Ears,” and an immersive sound experience in the IKS|Lab, they clearly illustrated the institute’s diverse research fields to the visitors.
