EUSIPCO 2019, 2th-6th September, A Coruña, Spain
The Institute of Communication Systems was represented at the 27th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO) in A Coruña, Spain, by Tobias Kabzinski and Matthias Schrammen. Initially, Mr. Kabzinski presented research about robust narrowband direction-of-arrival estimation. After that, Mr. Schrammen presented both his contributions about microphone array geometry estimation with few acoustic sources and a novel approach to efficiently combine beamforming and acoustic echo control for speech enhancement.
The researches gained valuable insights into recent trends in the digital signal processing area during plenty of sessions, tutorials and keynote talks - and had the opportunity to discuss the latest ideas with the experts present. Apart from a rapidly growing number of machine learning techniques, the topics "manifold learning" and "graph neural networks" were especially visible.
