IND hosted the IWAENC 2012
From September 4th-6th, 2012 the RWTH Aachen University hosted the international conference IWAENC 2012, one of the most important international scientific events in the area of audio signal processing.
More than 200 experts discussed theorical and practical aspects of future mobile and Internet phones, hearing aids, and multimedia conferencing systems.
The event was supported by leading companies such as Intel, Google, Skype, Microsoft, Ericsson, Siemens Audiologische Technik and HEAD acoustics.
Novel prototypes for Surround HD voice and audio-visual communication over the Internet were demonstrated. The conference was organized by the Institute for Communication Systems and Data Processing, headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing P. Vary.
