Demonstrations

Active Noise Control Design (ANC)
Robust time-invariant active noise cancellation (ANC) filter design for feedback (FB), feedforward (FF) and hybrid (FB+FF) structures. Application in headphones, hearing aids, etc.
Active Occlusion Cancellation (AOC)
Ambient and own-voice equalization by robust time-invariant filters in a combined feedback and feedforward system. Application in headphones, hearing aids, etc.
Active Acoustic Equalization (AAE)
Tunable equalizer for actively attenuating or amplifying ambient sounds. Based on time-invariant feedforward active noise cancellation (ANC) principles. Application in headphones, hearing aids, active hearing protection, etc.
Artificial Bandwidth Extension (ABWE)
Extension of a narrowband speech signal by adding synthetic high frequency components to create a more natural sounding speech reproduction and increase speech intelligibility. Application in smartphones, headphones, hearing aids, etc.
Binaural Cue Adaptation (BCA)
Rendering of a interactive binaural scene only based on a static binaural recording. Head rotation provided by an IMU headtracking system. Application in headphones, hearing aids, etc.
Near-End Listening Enhancement (NELE)
Improvement of intelligibility of speech played back in a noisy environment by adaptively filtering. The speech signal is adapted to the near-end background noise characteristics. Application in announcing systems, smartphones, headphones, hearing aids, etc.
Noise Reduction (NR)
Online denoising of a noisy digital speech signal by low complexity, a statistical and codebook-based algorithm. Goal is to attenuate the noise signal component as much as possible while keeping the distortion of the underlying speech signal as low as possible. Application in smartphones, headphones, hearing aids, etc.
